MERCY AGAIN, OCTOBER 2026, DAY 2 OF 3
Not My Head
The Head God Has Crowned
Day 2 of 3, October 2, 2026, Divine Attention Prayer Network

PSALM 3:3 “But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me, my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.”
Welcome to Day 2 of the October 2026 edition of Mercy Again, the flagship monthly prayer programme of Divine Attention Prayer Network, published under the ministry of Rev. Emmanuel O. Adejugbe. Yesterday we stood on Not My Blood, declaring the covenant preservation secured by the blood of Jesus over life, sacrifice, and household. Today we move into the second pillar of this month’s theme, Not My Head, addressing destiny, glory, and leadership.
Throughout Scripture, the head carries meaning far beyond its physical function. It represents the place of anointing, the seat of leadership, the location of a crown, and the center of thought and perception. When Scripture speaks of the head being lifted, anointed, or established, it is speaking of destiny being confirmed, of leadership being secured, of the mind being clear enough to walk in the purpose God has assigned. This day addresses every scheme that targets that place, whether through confusion, discouragement, or the quiet suggestion that destiny has been forfeited or delayed beyond recovery.
As with yesterday, this day is not built on fear of what might be lost, but on the settled confidence of what has already been secured in Christ. Every admonition today walks through a specific passage of Scripture that addresses destiny, leadership, or the mind, and every prayer point that follows is a declaration of what is already true rather than a plea rooted in uncertainty. Spiritual warfare, rightly understood, is never fought from panic, it is fought from the rest of a finished victory.
You will move through seven sections today, beginning with the anointing on the head in Psalm 23, through the promised position of head and not tail in Deuteronomy, the preeminence of Christ as the true Head of the body, the casting down of every stronghold that targets the mind, the crown already laid up regardless of circumstance, the ongoing renewal of the mind against worldly conformity, and finally the settled truth that it is the Lord Himself who lifts the head. Seventy prayer points in total will carry you through this journey, ten for each section.
As you begin, hold this truth above every other truth you will encounter today. Your destiny has not been lost, your leadership has not been permanently suppressed, and your mind is not enemy territory to be feared. You are anointed, positioned, joined to the true Head, renewed, crowned, and lifted, not by your own effort, but by the finished work and unfailing character of God. Let us begin.

HOW TO USE THIS GUIDE This guide is meant to be prayed aloud, not merely read. Find a quiet place, set aside focused time, and speak every declaration and prayer point with your own voice. Faith is released through the spoken word, and the confessions in this guide are written to be declared boldly, not whispered in doubt. Today’s guide opens with the new month SMS prayers, wishes, and the salvation call before moving into the seven main sections, so that thanksgiving and generosity toward others come first, before the deeper warfare content of the day begins. Feel free to share the SMS prayers and wishes early with family and friends as you begin your own time of prayer. Move through each of the seven sections in order after that, reading the admonition slowly before praying the ten points that follow it. The admonitions are not filler, they are the theological ground your prayers will stand on, so do not rush past them. Close the day with the closing declaration. If you or someone reading this has never received Jesus Christ as Lord, the salvation section earlier in this guide is written specifically for that moment, and you are welcome to return to it at any point in your reading.
A BRIEF THANKSGIVING FOR THE NEW MONTH Before we move into today’s declarations, pause and give God thanks for bringing you safely into this new month. Thank Him for the mercy that renewed itself over your life at the turn of October, and for every prayer already answered from Day 1 of this programme. Thank Him also in advance for what this Day 2 will accomplish in your mind, your destiny, and your leadership, trusting that the same faithfulness that carried you into this month will carry you through every declaration you are about to make.
OPENING DECLARATION I stand today as one whose head is already anointed, already positioned, already lifted by the Lord. My destiny is not determined by opposition, confusion, or delay, it is secured in Christ, the true Head over all things. I refuse every stronghold that has tried to exalt itself against the knowledge of God concerning my future. I am the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath, according to the covenant fulfilled in Jesus Christ. My mind is being renewed daily, and I walk in clarity rather than confusion this October. The crown laid up for me does not depend on the smoothness of my circumstances, it rests on the character of the righteous Judge. I reject every voice that says my leadership has been permanently suppressed or my calling forgotten. The Lord Himself is my shield, my glory, and the lifter of my head, and I receive that lifting today. I enter this second day of Mercy Again with settled confidence, not striving, because Christ has already secured what I am declaring. Not my head belongs to confusion or discouragement, it belongs to the Lord, and I walk today in that ownership.

A CALL TO SALVATION Everything declared on this Day 2 of Mercy Again rests on the same foundation as yesterday, the finished work of Jesus Christ. Just as the blood covers and preserves, the Head who governs all things also lifts, anoints, and secures the destiny of everyone who belongs to Him. If you have been praying along with these pages and realize you have never personally received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, this is your moment. The same Christ who is Head over all things, who lifts the head of the discouraged, who secures a crown for the faithful, is available to you right now, wherever you are reading this. Romans 10:9 says that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. This is not about achieving a position through your own effort, it is about being joined to the true Head who has already secured every position that matters. You do not need to have your leadership or your future figured out first, you simply need to come to Him honestly, believing that Jesus died for your sins and rose again. A PRAYER TO RECEIVE CHRIST Lord Jesus, I come to You today just as I am. I believe You died for my sins and rose again from the dead. I confess You as my Lord and my Savior. I ask You to become the true Head over my life, lifting my head and securing my destiny from this day forward. Thank You for receiving me into Your family, in Jesus name, Amen.
SECTION 1 The Head Anointed With Oil Psalm 23:5
ADMONITION David writes, thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies, thou anointest my head with oil, my cup runneth over. This is one of the most tender pictures of covenant care in all of Scripture, a shepherd anointing the head of his sheep, not in private away from danger, but openly, in the very presence of enemies who are watching. The anointing on the head was not hidden from the opposition, it was displayed in front of it. God does not wait for the enemy to leave before He honors and sets apart the head of His own, He does it in full view. Anointing oil in the Old Testament marked something as set apart, consecrated, chosen for a specific purpose. When oil touched the head of a priest or a king, it signaled that this person now carried an office, a destiny, a calling that belonged to God. This is precisely the ground of the Not My Head theme today, your head, meaning your identity, your destiny, your calling, has already been marked as set apart by God, regardless of what enemies may be watching or what opposition may be present around you. It matters deeply that David wrote this psalm not from a place of ease but from a place of active opposition, in the presence of mine enemies. This teaches us that the anointing on your head was never meant to depend on the absence of pressure. Some believers wait for every difficulty to clear before they will believe that God has set them apart for something significant. David models a different posture, he receives the anointing and the overflowing cup precisely while the enemies are still present and watching. This is not a call to ignore real pressure or real spiritual attack aimed at destiny and leadership. It is a call to recognize that such pressure has never been able to remove what God has already placed upon your head. Ephesians 1:13 tells us believers are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, and that seal, like the anointing oil, was never contingent on the enemy’s approval or absence. What God marks, the enemy cannot unmark, no matter how close he is allowed to stand and watch. As you come to these first ten prayer points, receive again the reality that your head carries an anointing that opposition cannot erase. You are not praying today to obtain something you lack, you are declaring, in the presence of every watching enemy, that the oil is already upon you and the cup is already running over.
Prayer Points 1 to 10: Standing Under the Anointing on My Head
1. Father, thank You for anointing my head with oil in the presence of my enemies, I declare that this anointing remains upon me today, in the name of Jesus.
2. I renounce every attempt of the enemy to make me hide or shrink back because of watching opposition, I stand openly under the anointing You have placed on my life, in the name of Jesus.
3. Every scheme assigned to remove the mark of destiny from my head, you have no power to unmark what God has already set apart, in the name of Jesus.
4. Lord, let my cup run over in this new month, in wisdom, in favor, in clarity of purpose, even as opposition watches, in the name of Jesus.
5. I declare that pressure and opposition around me do not disqualify me from the calling upon my life, they are simply the backdrop against which Your anointing is displayed, in the name of Jesus.
6. Father, seal my head again today with the Holy Spirit of promise, and let that seal be evident to everyone who has doubted the calling on my life, in the name of Jesus.
7. I take authority over every voice that says my destiny has been forgotten or delayed, the oil upon my head testifies that You have not forgotten me, in the name of Jesus.
8. Lord, prepare a table before me in the very presence of every enemy assigned against my leadership and my future, in the name of Jesus.
9. I decree that my head carries a mark this October that no watching opposition can erase, remove, or diminish, in the name of Jesus.
10. Father, thank You that Your anointing does not wait for ease, I receive it now in the middle of whatever pressure surrounds me, in the name of Jesus.
SECTION 2 The Head and Not the Tail Deuteronomy 28:13
ADMONITION Moses declares over Israel that the Lord will make them the head and not the tail, and they shall be above only, and not beneath, if they hearken to the commandments of the Lord their God. This verse establishes a clear covenant promise regarding position, leadership, and influence. The head, in the imagery of this verse, is not merely a body part, it represents the place of leading, directing, and determining the course of things, while the tail follows, is dragged along, and has no say in the direction being taken. This positional promise matters enormously for the theme of this day, because there are assignments in the spirit realm that specifically target position, that try to push a believer, a family, or a ministry into a perpetual tail position, always reacting, always following, always behind, never leading, never determining direction, never walking in the influence God intended. Recognizing this as a spiritual assignment rather than simply bad luck is the first step toward praying against it with precision. It is important to hold this promise in its proper New Testament light. Under the New Covenant, our position as head and not tail does not rest on our own performance of the law but on our position in Christ, who Ephesians 2:6 says has already raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places. The header position Moses promised conditionally to Israel under law has become, in Christ, a position we occupy by grace, secured not by our perfect obedience but by our union with the One who is already seated far above every principality and power. This means the prayer emphasis in this section is not fear driven pleading to somehow become the head, it is confident declaration of a position already secured in Christ. When circumstances suggest you are being pushed to the back, dragged along, or denied influence that rightfully belongs to you, the correct response is not panic but a firm, faith filled reminder to the enemy and to your own heart of exactly where God has already positioned you. Come to these next ten prayer points with the posture of someone reclaiming ground rather than someone begging for a promotion. You are not asking to become the head, you are declaring, from a position already secured in Christ, that every attempt to push you into the tail has already failed.
Prayer Points 11 to 20: Declaring the Head and Not the Tail
1. Father, I declare that I am the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath, according to Your covenant promise fulfilled in Christ, in the name of Jesus.
2. Every assignment designed to push me into a perpetual position of following without leading, I reject you and I reclaim the position Christ has already secured for me, in the name of Jesus.
3. Lord, let my influence, my voice, and my leadership be restored wherever they have been suppressed or delayed this season, in the name of Jesus.
4. I declare over my family, my work, and my ministry that we occupy the head position in every situation the Lord has assigned to us, in the name of Jesus.
5. Father, where I have accepted a tail position out of fear or discouragement, forgive me and lift me back into the place You have already prepared, in the name of Jesus.
6. I take authority over every circumstance designed to drag me along without my consent, I am seated with Christ far above such circumstances, in the name of Jesus.
7. Lord, let this month be marked by evident leadership breakthroughs in every area where I have felt overlooked or pushed behind, in the name of Jesus.
8. I decree that my household walks in the head position, blessed above and not beneath, in every dealing this October, in the name of Jesus.
9. Father, thank You for raising me up and seating me with Christ in heavenly places, I walk today in that already secured position of authority, in the name of Jesus.
10. I declare that no scheme of the enemy can permanently demote what God has already positioned at the head, in the name of Jesus.
SECTION 3 Christ, the Head of the Body Ephesians 1:22, Colossians 1:18
ADMONITION Paul writes in Ephesians 1:22 that God has put all things under the feet of Christ and given Him to be head over all things to the church. Colossians 1:18 adds that Christ is the head of the body, the church, and that in all things He might have the preeminence. Before this section addresses your own head at all, it must first establish whose head governs everything else, and the answer is unambiguous, Christ is the head over all things, including every power, principality, and scheme that might rise against your own destiny. This matters because the theme Not My Head can easily be misunderstood as simply a fight for personal position or influence. But the deeper foundation is this, your head is protected and secure precisely because it is joined to a greater Head who already has preeminence over all things. A body does not fight independently of its head, it draws direction, strength, and protection from the head it is joined to. Every believer’s personal destiny and calling is secure to the exact degree that it remains joined to Christ as the true Head. This is a vital corrective against any warfare that drifts into fear or paranoia. We are not fighting alone to defend our own head against overwhelming spiritual opposition, we are members of a body whose Head already has preeminence in all things. Colossians 2:10 says believers are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. Whatever power might be arrayed against your destiny, it is already under the authority of the Head you are joined to. This truth should produce settled confidence rather than anxious striving. You do not need to personally outmaneuver every scheme aimed at your mind, your leadership, or your future, because you are not operating independently. You are joined to a Head who already holds preeminence over every rival power. Your task is not to win the battle alone, it is to remain rightly joined to the Head who has already won it. As you pray through this section, let every declaration flow from this joined relationship. You are not declaring independent strength, you are declaring the authority of the Head you are attached to, and asking that your own head, your identity, calling, and destiny, would function in full alignment with His preeminence over all things.
Prayer Points 21 to 30: Declaring Christ as the Head Over My Life
1. Father, I thank You that Christ is the Head over all things, and I declare that my own head, my destiny and calling, is secure because it is joined to Him, in the name of Jesus.
2. Every power or scheme assigned against my mind or my future must submit to the preeminence of Christ, the true Head over all things, in the name of Jesus.
3. Lord, let me remain rightly joined to You as my Head, drawing direction, strength, and protection from You in every decision I make this season, in the name of Jesus.
4. I declare that I am complete in Christ, who is the head of all principality and power, and no rival power has the final word over my life, in the name of Jesus.
5. Father, where I have tried to fight battles for my destiny in my own strength, I return now to my rightful place as a member joined to You, the Head, in the name of Jesus.
6. I decree that every principality assigned against my leadership is already under the authority of Christ, and I walk today in that settled victory, in the name of Jesus.
7. Lord, let the preeminence of Christ be evident over every area of my life where confusion or opposition has tried to take the lead, in the name of Jesus.
8. I reject every attempt to isolate me from the body of Christ, I remain joined, connected, and covered under the true Head over all things, in the name of Jesus.
9. Father, thank You that my personal destiny does not depend on my own strength alone, it depends on my union with the Head who has already overcome, in the name of Jesus.
10. I declare that this month, my life will visibly reflect the order of a body rightly joined to its Head, directed, protected, and preeminent in every dealing, in the name of Jesus.
PSALM 27:6 “And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me, therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy, I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.”
SECTION 4 Casting Down Every Stronghold of the Mind 2 Corinthians 10:4-5
ADMONITION Paul tells the Corinthian church that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. This passage locates a significant portion of spiritual warfare precisely where many believers least expect it, in the mind, in patterns of thought, in imaginations that quietly exalt themselves against what God has actually said. This is essential for the theme Not My Head, because attacks on destiny and leadership very often begin as attacks on the mind long before they ever show up as visible circumstances. A stronghold, in this passage, is not primarily an external structure, it is a fortified pattern of thinking, a way of reasoning that has become entrenched enough to resist correction even when it contradicts the truth of God’s word. Confusion, persistent self doubt, cycles of anxious reasoning about the future, these can function exactly like the strongholds Paul describes. It is critical to approach this section without drifting into fear about one’s own mind. Paul does not describe believers as helpless against these strongholds, he describes the weapons available to pull them down as mighty through God. This is not a call to suspicion of every thought as though the mind itself is an enemy territory to be feared, it is a call to active, confident engagement, recognizing wrong patterns and bringing them, deliberately and specifically, into obedience to Christ. There is a real difference between ordinary human uncertainty, which everyone experiences, and a genuine stronghold that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. This admonition is not suggesting that every doubt or difficult feeling is a demonic attack requiring an elaborate deliverance. It is inviting a sober, biblically grounded practice, when a thought pattern consistently contradicts what God has said about your identity, calling, or future, it should be recognized, named honestly, and brought under the authority of Christ rather than simply accepted as fact. As you pray through this section, do so with the confidence of someone wielding a mighty weapon, not the anxiety of someone searching every corner of their mind for hidden enemies. Bring specific patterns of thought that have resisted the truth of God’s word, and declare them brought into obedience to Christ.
Prayer Points 31 to 40: Casting Down Every Stronghold Against My Mind
1. Father, I thank You that the weapons of my warfare are mighty through You to the pulling down of strongholds in my mind, in the name of Jesus.
2. I cast down every imagination and every high thing that has exalted itself against the knowledge of God concerning my identity and destiny, in the name of Jesus.
3. Lord, bring every anxious pattern of thought about my future into obedience to Christ, and replace it with the peace that surpasses understanding, in the name of Jesus.
4. I renounce every stronghold of confusion that has tried to cloud my decisions this season, and I receive clarity rooted in Your word, in the name of Jesus.
5. Father, where persistent self doubt has resisted correction even from Your word, I bring it now under the authority of Christ and command it to yield, in the name of Jesus.
6. I declare that my mind is not enemy territory, it is a mind being renewed daily by the truth of God, in the name of Jesus.
7. Lord, expose any entrenched thought pattern that contradicts what You have said about my calling, and give me grace to correct it, in the name of Jesus.
8. I take authority over every cycle of anxious reasoning about tomorrow, I bring my thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ today, in the name of Jesus.
9. Father, let the peace of Christ rule in my heart and mind, guarding me against every stronghold that would rise against my clarity and purpose, in the name of Jesus.
10. I decree that my mind is a mighty instrument in Your hands this month, sharp, clear, and fully submitted to the obedience of Christ, in the name of Jesus.
SECTION 5 The Crown That Cannot Be Stolen 2 Timothy 4:8
ADMONITION Near the end of his life, Paul writes to Timothy with striking confidence, henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day. This is a man writing from prison, facing execution, with every visible circumstance suggesting defeat, yet he speaks of a crown already laid up, already secured, already guaranteed by the righteous Judge Himself. This is the posture the theme Not My Head calls every believer toward, a crown that present circumstances cannot determine or remove. A crown in Scripture represents more than reward, it represents recognized authority, a position of honor conferred by someone with the standing to confer it. Paul’s crown was not something he was still trying to win through additional effort, it was already laid up, a settled matter awaiting only its appointed day of presentation. This matters directly for anyone facing an assault on destiny or leadership, the crown God has prepared is not contingent on winning every present battle, it is secured by the righteous Judge regardless of how difficult the present season may appear. It is worth noting what Paul does not say. He does not say the crown is laid up because his circumstances improved, or because every enemy was defeated before he wrote these words. He was, in fact, writing from confinement, near the very end of a life marked by repeated hardship. The crown was secure precisely because it rested on the character of the righteous Judge, not on the absence of opposition in Paul’s life. This section, then, addresses a specific lie that often accompanies attacks on the head, the suggestion that difficult circumstances mean the crown, the destiny, the calling has somehow been forfeited or lost. Paul’s testimony refutes that lie directly. Difficulty and crown are not mutually exclusive, Paul held both simultaneously, present hardship and settled confidence in a crown already laid up. Come to these prayer points recognizing that whatever difficulty may currently surround your leadership or destiny, it does not have the power to remove a crown that rests on the character of the righteous Judge rather than on the smoothness of your present circumstances.
Prayer Points 41 to 50: Wearing the Crown That Cannot Be Stolen
1. Father, I thank You for the crown of righteousness already laid up for me, secured by You, the righteous Judge, regardless of my present circumstances, in the name of Jesus.
2. I declare that no present hardship has the power to remove or forfeit the destiny You have already prepared for me, in the name of Jesus.
3. Every voice suggesting that difficulty means my calling has been lost, I silence you now, for my crown rests on the character of God, not on ease, in the name of Jesus.
4. Lord, let me finish every course You have assigned to me with the same confidence Paul carried even from a place of confinement, in the name of Jesus.
5. I decree that my crown is secure this month, whatever opposition I may face, because it is laid up by the righteous Judge and not dependent on my circumstances, in the name of Jesus.
6. Father, strengthen me to hold both present difficulty and settled confidence at the same time, refusing to let hardship convince me that my destiny is gone, in the name of Jesus.
7. I take back every ground the enemy has claimed by suggesting my crown was stolen or forfeited, it remains exactly where You have laid it up, in the name of Jesus.
8. Lord, let my life this season testify, like Paul’s, that a crown already secured can be carried even through seasons that look like defeat, in the name of Jesus.
9. I declare over my leadership and my calling that the appointed day of recognition is coming, and until then I remain faithful, steady, and unshaken, in the name of Jesus.
10. Father, thank You for being a righteous Judge whose promises do not depend on my perfect circumstances, I trust You fully with the crown You have prepared for me, in the name of Jesus.
SECTION 6 Renewed Mind, Renewed Destiny Romans 12:2
ADMONITION Paul writes to the Romans, be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. This verse ties the condition of the mind directly to the ability to perceive and walk in God’s will, which is precisely the territory the theme Not My Head is concerned with, destiny discerned and walked out clearly rather than lost in confusion or conformed to patterns that do not reflect God’s purpose. Notice the two options Paul sets side by side, conformity to the world’s patterns, or transformation through a renewed mind. Conformity is passive, it happens by default when nothing actively resists it, a mind left unattended naturally absorbs the surrounding patterns of thought, fear, comparison, and confusion that dominate the world around it. Transformation, by contrast, is active, it requires deliberate renewal, a continual process of realigning thought patterns with the truth of God’s word rather than the assumptions of the surrounding culture. This matters enormously for anyone facing pressure against their head, their destiny, their leadership. It is entirely possible to have a genuine calling from God and still walk in confusion about it because the mind carrying that calling has been gradually conformed to fearful or worldly patterns of thinking rather than renewed by truth. The issue in such cases is not that the destiny disappeared, it is that the mind meant to perceive and walk in it has drifted out of alignment. Renewal, then, is not a one time event but an ongoing practice, a continual choice to bring thought patterns back into agreement with what God has actually said rather than what circumstances or culture suggest. This is good news for this section, because it means clarity about destiny is not something you either have permanently or have lost permanently, it is something actively restored through the ongoing renewing of the mind. As you pray through these ten points, ask God specifically to identify any area where your mind has quietly conformed to a worldly pattern rather than remaining renewed by truth, and receive fresh clarity about the good, acceptable, and perfect will He has for your life this season.
Prayer Points 51 to 60: Renewed in the Spirit of My Mind
1. Father, I refuse to be conformed to the patterns of this world, and I ask You to transform me by the renewing of my mind today, in the name of Jesus.
2. I declare that my mind is actively being renewed, not passively drifting into confusion or fear, in the name of Jesus.
3. Lord, show me clearly any area where I have quietly conformed to worldly thinking instead of walking in the truth of Your word, in the name of Jesus.
4. I ask for fresh clarity to prove what is good, acceptable, and perfect concerning Your will for my life this season, in the name of Jesus.
5. Father, where confusion has clouded my sense of purpose, I receive the renewing work of Your Spirit to restore clarity now, in the name of Jesus.
6. I reject every fearful or comparison driven pattern of thought that does not reflect Your truth about who I am and what I am called to do, in the name of Jesus.
7. Lord, let my mind be a place of continual renewal, not a settled territory for worldly patterns to take root, in the name of Jesus.
8. I declare that my destiny has not disappeared, and I ask You to realign my thinking so that I can walk clearly in what You have already prepared, in the name of Jesus.
9. Father, renew my mind concerning my leadership, my calling, and my future, so that I perceive Your will and not merely the noise around me, in the name of Jesus.
10. I decree that this month marks a fresh season of mental clarity and alignment with Your will over my life, in the name of Jesus.
SECTION 7 The Lifter of My Head Psalm 3:3
ADMONITION David writes, but thou, O Lord, art a shield for me, my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. This psalm was written during one of the most painful seasons of David’s life, fleeing from his own son Absalom, betrayed, pursued, and surrounded by people declaring that there was no help for him in God. It is precisely in that context, surrounded by discouragement and active opposition, that David makes this declaration, not that his circumstances had lifted his head, but that the Lord Himself was the one doing the lifting. This final section of the day gathers together everything declared across the previous six sections. The head anointed with oil in the presence of enemies, the position of head and not tail, the union with Christ as the true Head over all things, the mind renewed and freed from strongholds, the crown already laid up regardless of circumstances, the mind actively renewed against worldly conformity, all of it finds its personal, relational conclusion here. It is the Lord Himself, not circumstances, not human validation, not the absence of opposition, who lifts the head. This distinction matters because it is possible to seek validation for destiny and calling from sources that were never meant to carry that weight, human recognition, favorable circumstances, the approval of others. David, surrounded by people saying there was no help for him, did not look to any of those sources. He looked directly to the Lord as the shield, the glory, and the lifter of his head. This is the settled posture this theme has been building toward across the entire day. There will be moments this month, as in every season, when circumstances do not immediately confirm what has been declared in prayer. This is precisely when this final truth becomes most necessary, the lifting of your head was never meant to depend on immediate circumstantial confirmation. Like David, you can declare with full confidence, in the middle of active opposition, that the Lord Himself is lifting what needs to be lifted, regardless of what current appearances suggest. Come now to these final ten prayer points as David did, not from a place of resolved circumstances but from settled trust in the character of the One who lifts. Let your head be lifted today, not by what you see around you, but by the shield, the glory, and the lifter Himself.
Prayer Points 61 to 70: The Lord, the Lifter of My Head
1. Father, thank You that You are a shield for me, my glory, and the lifter up of my head, regardless of what my present circumstances suggest, in the name of Jesus.
2. I declare that my head is being lifted today, not by favorable circumstances, but by the direct hand of the Lord, in the name of Jesus.
3. Every voice declaring that there is no help for me, I answer with David’s confidence, the Lord Himself is my shield and my glory, in the name of Jesus.
4. Lord, in seasons where circumstances do not immediately confirm what has been prayed, strengthen me to trust You as the lifter of my head regardless, in the name of Jesus.
5. I refuse to seek the lifting of my head from human validation or approval, I receive it directly from You, my glory and my shield, in the name of Jesus.
6. Father, let this Day 2 seal every declaration made over my head, my destiny, my mind, and my leadership, in the name of Jesus.
7. I decree that Not My Head belongs to opposition, confusion, or discouragement, my head belongs to the Lord who lifts it, in the name of Jesus.
8. Lord, even where I am surrounded by discouragement like David was, I declare that You remain my shield and the lifter of my head, in the name of Jesus.
9. I speak over my family, my leadership, and my future, that every head under my covering is lifted by the Lord this October, in the name of Jesus.
10. Father, I close this day with full confidence that the anointing, the position, the union with Christ, the renewed mind, the crown, and the lifted head are all secured by You, in the name of Jesus.
CLOSING DECLARATION I seal this day in the finished work of Christ, over my mind, my destiny, and my leadership. Let every stronghold that rose against my thinking today be permanently cast down and replaced with the peace of Christ. I declare that the anointing renewed on my head today remains upon me for the rest of this month and beyond. No scheme assigned to push me into a tail position shall succeed, I remain the head according to the covenant of God. I carry the crown of righteousness already laid up for me into every remaining day of October with full confidence. My mind continues to be renewed daily, proving the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God for my life. I walk away from this day lifted, not by circumstances, but by the Lord Himself, my shield and my glory. Father, thank You for a destiny that does not depend on the absence of opposition but on the presence of Your faithfulness. I release this day’s prayers into the courts of heaven, sealed and witnessed by the finished work of Jesus Christ. Not my head belongs to any scheme of loss, it belongs to the covenant, and so do I, in the mighty name of Jesus.
