Day 1: God Has Gone Before You
Friday, 11th September 2026
You checked your phone before you even sat up. Another message you’re not ready to answer. Another day that starts with a weight already sitting on your chest before your feet touch the floor. Maybe it’s the interview. The bill. The child not picking calls. The diagnosis you haven’t told anyone about yet. Whatever it is, you walked into today feeling like you’re walking in first.
You’re not.
“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” – Deuteronomy 31:8 (NIV)
The One Point:
Before your alarm went off, God was already standing at the exact spot your day is about to test you. Not watching from a distance, but ahead of you, at the desk, in the room, on the road you haven’t reached yet. That interview panel, that difficult conversation, that hospital corridor, He didn’t send you there alone and promise to catch up later. He went first. Your job today isn’t to find strength to face the unknown. It’s to know that you’re walking into a place He has already been.
Thought To Ponder:
What’s the one thing today you’ve been dreading to face alone? What changes if you really believed God got there before you did?
Prayer:
Father, thank You for going ahead of me into this day.
I let go of the weight of facing it alone.
Let me walk today already expecting to meet You there. Amen.
Today’s Declaration:
“I am not walking into today first. God is already there.”
Today’s Step:
Before you face the thing you’re dreading, pause for one breath and say quietly, “God is already there.”
